True mystical experience tends to change us, it progressively transforms our person and life into a resemblance and expression of the Truth and Light revealed to us.
When to have an experience of the overwhelming presence and power of the Infinite and Eternal One within us, or the immeasurable light and love of the Divine in our heart and soul, we cannot help but be moved and transformed by it.
We will naturally desire to bring forward, and express, the qualities of that living presence and power, that light and love, and follow the guidance of that Inner Light and Spirit in our lives, and live in a more and more intimate, inward communion, seeking oneness, unification, with that Holy Light and Spirit of the Eternal One.
Essentially, when God unveils and discloses Godself in our heart and soul, and ‘gives Godself’ to us, which is the very nature of true mystical and gnostic experience, so through the action of the Light and Spirit of God moving with, in and through us an image and likeness of God – Elohim – is formed and made manifest in us. As we follow the guidance of the Spirit, and strive with the Spirit to to live the Truth and Light revealed, so it is realized and emnbodied.
Quite literally ‘we become more than human,’ or rather evolve into a new humanity, one that is spiritual, supernal and divine. From a Gnostic perspective, this corresponds with ‘true salvation.’
