The Gnostic Christians believed that we are one with the Christ and that our core nature is Love. This was their main philosophy of life. They understood that the embodiment of the Christos was not just done by Yeshua but is a potential within all human beings. This, they believed, is our bigger story. This Self-remembrance was absolutely the main emphasis in Jesus’ original teachings. Christ consciousness, which is our highest state of being, It is soul consciousness.

It’s very sad that Orthodox Christianity, and even our modern dictionaries, define Gnosticism in a superficial, negative light – as an anti-Christian cult! A deeper look at Gnostic thought throughout history shows us that it is a warm and accepting spiritual path that supports Humanity in a very real way; it takes us deeply into ourselves.

Being part of the Ancient Mystery Traditions, Gnosticism does not lend itself to dogma or philosophy as well as it does to one’s own personal feeling nature. Remember, gnosis is not a theory, but the actual experience of awakening. And gnosis enables us to live by the Law of Love because we can see the deeper sacred purpose in all our human ways and actually feel it.
