The Early Christians believed Jesus, as the Christ, came to guide us on how to manifest the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth by remembering who we truly are. They viewed the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth not as a physical residence where we reside after death, but as a state of consciousness we can experience while living. This is a powerful, life-enhancing goal that completely overrides the ever and always Christian accusation that we are all born sinners. These original Christians felt certain that Jesus was never asking them to worship him as the Christ; he was calling them to remember that the consciousness of the Christ lives within as the core of our being. They believed we are all born with a small piece of God’s soul lodged within us, each with our own unique ‘Spark of the Divine.’
