Almost NOBODY remembers the part where Jesus said…. IF THEY REPENT, being a prerequisite for forgiving/liberating…. Or else they do not learn or grow or change. We don’t like to think this is the Nature of Love/God/Jesus…. Because we don’t want to Repent, even though it was the first word out of Jesus Mouth when he started his ministry.

We don’t like it because we feel judged, but it’s actually love trying to set us free…. Not just from debt, but from repeating the same mistake.

There can be no forgiveness without repentance….. at least not in the experience. Forgiveness is liberation and you can’t be free of something if you don’t even acknowledge it exists. Free doesn’t mean no consequence it means it doesn’t keep happening…. That comes from acknowledging it did and understanding why
