Do everything you can to avoid becoming desensitized to the word.
We live in a day where so many have cultivated intimacy with the Lord, had face time with Jesus, and walk hand in Hand with the Holy Ghost. And people travel from all over to listen to them teach, preach and proclaim the mysteries that God allows them to release.
I’ve witnessed a cycle that I want to caution people to be cognizant of, and that is the replacing spiritual hunger with intellectual desire.
There is a great showing of honor when people gather together to sit and receive the word from a man/woman of God. I know it blesses the minister as well as the Lord. That is not what I am speaking to.
What I have seen is a transformation of complete wonderment with the beauty of Jesus revealed, and turned it into a drooling for the latest and greatest, deepest and most shocking depths of revelation. Thus, trading their childlike beholding for a level-up, intimacy replacement mentality.
I am not advocating against conference hopping. While I’ve seen so many people slam or attack conference hopping, I do not share the face value of that message. I believe many have developed a hunger for the corporate glory manifestations that are ushered in. Such charged and rich atmospheres release the fragrance of Heaven. While some leaders have labeled those people as “those that are just seeking a spiritual high,” I say that they have developed a love for the glory of God. The only caution I have regarding conference hopping would be that you do not do anything with the impartation that has been received. Do you leave the same? Does the change last a short while? It should be fully transformative.
I am more concerned that people have laid down their desire for personal revelation and settled for the revelation of a speaker. Do not mistake me as one coming against revelatory meetings, I love it very much. But I don’t want to see people obsessed with knowledge at the cost of laying down childlike awe of the Presence.

“It’s the glory of God to conceal a matter and the glory of kings to search it out.” Proverbs 25:2
To those that belong to the kingdom of heaven, you are kings. And God has both revealed and hidden matters that you might knock upon His heart to search them out. This is a living, relational intimacy that is cultivated through hunger and desire for simply living in a face to face manner with the King of kings.
For those that have followed my ministry, you know that I love revelation. But if you are not being transformed by what God has given me permission to release, I would encourage you would immediately go back into your prayer closet and be quietly alone with Him as your first fruit.
Continue to honor leaders. Continue to receive from them, but never lose your ability to marvel at Jesus. Never replace the word and presence with deep teachings. There is room for both. They can co-exist with the proper order, which is your personal secret place first and above all.
I think there has been a desensitization because of the mass amount of revelatory teachings available. And again, I celebrate that there is so much that God has allowed to be revealed! It is truly wonderful. I love to search it out for myself! But I don’t want to see the receivers miss manage it because of a desire to grow in intelligence. You are meant to be completely changed and transformed in your spirit man first. Then your soul (mind) will follow accordingly.
Always, above all else in this life, seek His face.
