When men attempt to bottle the truth in creeds, catechisms, rules, and steps, they will always inevitably leave something out. This is because the truth was never intended to be summarized, but rather expounded.

If men do not give their entire life for the truth, and the committing of themselves to study of the pure word of God as it is written, but instead conform themselves only to the abbreviated syllabus of the institution, codified in the jargon of men, they put themselves at risk of becoming as those who have a form of godliness that denies the power.

Today it comprises a great city, that spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt. Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.

The gospel is power to overcome and renew our hearts to be able to conform to Christ for God’s glory, bringing in souls escaping the darkness. You are right, no creed or human traditions can change the heart. Our hearts must be circumcised by God to be a new vessel ready for good works empowered by His Spirit!!
