In quiet moments, I seek the divine,
Not within stained glass or ancient rites,
But in the rustle of leaves, the whisper of wind,
And the dance of stars on moonless nights.
I am not bound by dogmas or creeds,
No temples confine my wandering soul,
For I find sacredness in every breath,
In the rhythm of life that makes me whole.
The hymns I sing are written in silence,
My prayers echo through open skies,
I commune with the universe, unfiltered,
As the sun kisses my skin and clouds pass by.
I am a seeker, not a follower,
A pilgrim on a path of my own making,
I find solace in forests, oceans, and mountains,
Where the sacred and mundane are never forsaking.
The rituals I perform are simple:
To watch a sunrise with reverence,
To hold a stranger’s hand in compassion,
To marvel at existence without pretense.
My faith is woven from stardust and wonder,
My scriptures are etched in constellations,
And when I close my eyes, I touch eternity,
In the quiet spaces where truth finds its revelations.
So call me spiritual, not religious,
For I am free from doctrine’s chains,
I walk barefoot on the earth, seeking grace,
And find divinity in life’s sweet refrains

For those asking me what I believe in. I would be trapped by a religion.. Let Me Explain: What is the Difference Between Religion and Spirituality? Religion keep us from seeing ourselves as a manifestation of God the way a wave is an extension of an ocean. Moving beyond religion leads us to the greatest freedom we can know: the freedom to be who we are — creative agents for justice and compassion. Religion is often about who’s in and who’s out, creating a worldview steeped in “us against them.”
Spirituality rejects this dualism and speaks of us and them. Religion is a man made device and is often about loyalty to institutions, clergy, and rules. Spirituality is about loyalty to justice and compassion. Religion talks about God. Spirituality helps to make us godly. The two need not be at odds.
However the religious folks often become radicals. More people have been killed over religious beliefs than any other reason in history. I study all beliefs from all cultures, and I utilize whatever does not insult my soul. There is good and valuable knowledge and truth in all ancient texts.
I also prefer spirituality because it allows me to have a personal relationship with my creator vs religion forcing you to go thru pastors and clergy and relies more on the monetary system for support making it vulnerable to greed and quests for power by the leaders.
