A great sign appeared in heaven’s expanse,
A woman, radiant, clothed in sun’s embrace,
Moon at her feet, a crown of stars aglow,
She bore a child, a promise yet to show.
But another sign emerged, fierce and red,
An ancient dragon, seven heads it spread,
Ten horns, seven crowns, its power immense,
Its tail swept stars, a cosmic recompense.
The woman labored, pain etched on her face,
Her child, destined to rule with iron grace,
Snatched to God’s throne, beyond the dragon’s reach,
A cosmic drama played out on heaven’s beach.
War erupted in celestial realms above,
Michael and angels clashed with dragon’s love,
Heaven’s gates shook, the adversary fell,
The ancient serpent, once bright, now cast to hell.
The accuser silenced, his reign undone,
By Lamb’s blood and unwavering faith, they won,
Heavens rejoiced, but woe to earth and sea,
For the devil, enraged, knew his time was free.
The woman fled, her wings like eagles’ flight,
To wilderness, where God’s care held her tight,
Time, times, and half a time, she’d find her rest,
Protected from the serpent’s vile quest.
Yet the dragon spewed a river, wrath unbound,
To drown the woman, sweep her dreams aground,
But Earth, compassionate, opened wide its maw,
Swallowed the torrent, thwarting evil’s flaw.
Enraged, the dragon turned to wage his war,
Against her offspring, faithful souls who bore,
God’s commands and clung to Jesus’ name,
Their testimony aflame, undying flame.
So here we stand, caught in this cosmic strife,
Between light and darkness, death and life,
The Woman and the Dragon dance their fate,
In Revelation’s tapestry, woven intricate.
May we, like her, find wings to soar above,
Embrace the sun, moon, stars, and boundless love,
And in our trials, hold fast to truth’s refrain,
For in this epic battle, hope shall remain.
