The beginning of the spiritual journey is what I call ‘life after awakening.’ Instead of a life lived from a separate ego, from the illusion of the egoic personality, it is a life lived from the conscious recognition of our true nature as awareness. And that’s truly a new life.
It’s a beginning. It’s an end of the identification with thoughts, feelings, and the egoic personality, but ~ contrary to what some people think ~ it’s not the end of spirituality. It’s actually the beginning of the true spiritual journey, the beginning of a new way of life. It’s the beginning of an ongoing discovery of what it’s like to live from the recognition that you are spirit appearing as a human being.
In the grand theater of life, there’s a quiet strength in the role of the observer. “The more you see, the less you speak,” a principle that teaches us the art of discernment—knowing when our words can illuminate and when silence can speak volumes.
It’s the artist who gazes upon the world, absorbing every hue, yet speaks only through the strokes of their brush. It’s the leader who listens intently to their team, understanding that guidance often comes from what isn’t said. It’s the friend who offers a presence more comforting than any words could be.
This wisdom isn’t about withholding our voice but about using it with intention. It’s about recognizing that our silence can be as impactful as our speech, allowing us to truly hear the symphony of life around us.
Let’s embrace this understanding and find the balance between expression and reflection. For in the spaces between our words, we often find the deepest connections and the most profound truths. 🙂
