I’ve noticed that as humans, we have a strong tendency to be led by a leader. We often allow those who lead us to manipulate, gaslight, lie, control, and deceive us. But why do we do this so willingly, and sometimes even blindly?
For many, it’s the result of generational conditioning—being raised in environments where obedience is ingrained and authority is seldom questioned. For others, I believe it’s because relinquishing control to a leader is easier than facing the challenge of thinking for oneself. Independent thinking can be scary and messy, filled with uncertainties, while allowing someone else to take charge can create a false sense of safety.
Unfortunately, by the time some people wake up to the reality that they are not safe and have been deceived, the damage is often severe. They may find themselves spending decades trying to heal from the wounds inflicted by this deception.
