The son of man is a breath, a force, an energy that we have to comprehend, the light, the force we are talking about, the Universal Christ, in Sanskrit it’s called Prana. It’s magnetism, electricity, sound…
This is why the gospel of John calls it “the word” saying:
“In the beginning was the word (Logos) and the word (Logos) was with God, and the word (Logos) was God (Theos)”
~ John 1:1
In Gnosticism we study the Logos, which is Greek for “word.” So the first Logos is the Father, the second Logos is the Son, the third Logos is the Holy Spirit. These are Kether, Chokmah, Binah. In India they are called Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva.
Different religions have different representations of the same archetypes, universal forces or breaths from the Absolute.
In Hebrew, when it is spoken about breath, it can be said in many ways. Neshamah is breath, but also Ruach, which is related with wind and spirit. In Hebrew there is also another important word for breath which is Abel. In Hebrew Habel is the child of Adam and Eve. Habel also means “breath.” Indeed, the Hebrew language is very rich in denominating different types of breaths.
In Kabalah, they say Neshamah is the Divine soul, which Ruach is the thinking soul. Abel or Habel is that breath that represents the human soul. This is very important to understand in order to comprehend the Bible, and the way in which the Christ, who is Vishnu in India, Quetzalcoatl in the Nahuatl Mexican doctrine, and Krestos in Greek, is a universal force, a breath with many names.
In this day and age, people think that Christ is an exclusive title for the master Jesus of Nazareth that came 2000 years ago in the Holy Land, and that he is also the Son of Man, but for us, the Gnostics, Moses is the Son of Man, Krishna is the Son of Man, Quetzalcoatl is the Son of Man: anyone that incarnates the Cosmic Christ becomes a Son of Man. So the Son of Man is the human aspect of that universal force.
It is time for this. I have attempted to relay such information on social media and I usually get someone saying that I’m “mixing” as a slur against it. In the old age, each system was used individually, at the cost of all others. In the old age(Picean), this was important because this was really the only way upward on the Tree of Life for most of mankind. Only the esoteric adepts, most having gone all the way up along a single path, could then see the overlay of the world religions. As a matter of fact, it was like a pyramid where you could only walk up one side, yet at the top, all was One.
Today is different. Man is becoming ready for the meat, not just the milk. At the milk stage of a baby’s life, he only drinks milk from his own mother. Meat, however comes from all places outside, yet it is all still meat. However it hurts, we need to(& are) collectively moving from One Way to Way One; from “there only is one way” to “the only way is One”, or rather that all legitimate ways are in root the One way.
