THE GOSPEL WE WERE NEVER TAUGHT ✝️
Religion brought us a misunderstanding of the gospel because it taught us the wrong identity.
It taught you that you were the carnal, separate self —
the very self Paul says was put off,
the very self Colossians says died.
And then, incredibly,
it taught you to keep identifying with that self
while quoting Scripture
and invoking the name of Jesus.
That is the contradiction.
We talk about the name of Jesus constantly
while neglecting His teachings.
We defend His name
while ignoring His prayer.
Jesus prayed,
“In that day you will know
that I am in My Father,
you are in Me,
and I am in you.”
Yet when people actually experience “that day,”
when they enter union and oneness,
they are labeled heretics.
For following Jesus.
Religion says heaven is later.
Then it says death has been defeated.
Then it says the Kingdom is within you.
All at the same time.
That doesn’t make sense
the way religion presents it.
So what do we end up with?
A deferred gospel.
You’ll be whole later.
You’ll be healed later.
You’ll be complete later.
You’ll be in union later.
Until then,
keep confessing separation.
And then we wonder why we rarely see union.
Scripture does say we were alienated —
but it tells you where.
In the mind.
That alienation was real.
But it was not eternal.
To keep confessing separation
after reconciliation has been declared
is to keep confessing a lie.
And you cannot worship God in Spirit and in truth
while rehearsing something that is no longer true.
Yet people go to church week after week,
sometimes day after day,
confessing that they are sinners,
even after being born again.
That is not humility.
That is double-mindedness.
I lived there for years.
Confessing grace
while identifying with separation.
Quoting union
while living divided.
Saying death is defeated
while fearing judgment.
That inner contradiction fractures the soul.
Paul said plainly,
“Christ did not send me to baptize,
but to preach the gospel.”
And what is the gospel?
Not that you were a wicked sinner.
Not that you were separated from God.
Not that you earn union later.
The gospel is that you were in Christ
before the foundation of the world.
The works were finished
before the foundation.
Union was not the reward.
Union was the starting point.
That’s why people who live from oneness
are full of joy.
That’s why they are at rest.
That’s why they are easygoing.
They are not living on a battlefield.
They understand covenant.
They don’t worry about future heaven or hell.
They don’t worry about future judgment.
They trust the One they are one with.
They actually believe Scripture —
that all things are working together for good.
Most people don’t.
And spiritual warfare proves it.
Fighting the flow of God
and calling it warfare
is unbelief disguised as devotion.
The name of Jesus was never meant
to replace His nature.
It was meant to reveal it.
When the nature is absent,
the name becomes a slogan.
When the nature is present,
the name needs no defense.
Religion trained people
to defend the false self
while calling it faithfulness.
But when someone actually lives from union,
rests,
and walks in love,
they threaten the entire system.
Because union makes control unnecessary.
Love makes fear obsolete.
And rest exposes the lie.
The gospel restores what was never lost.
Union ends the war religion sustained.
Truth is remembered, not achieved.
And rest reveals what striving never could.
