There is a cry in the Spirit.
Many sanctuaries that were built as houses of prayer have slowly transformed into political stages. The pulpit that once carried holy fire now carries manifestos. The microphone that once announced repentance now advertises alliances.
When bishops, pastors, senior and junior apostles begin to salivate for the envelopes of politicians, they do not realize they are not just receiving money — they are receiving altars.
And every altar comes with a spirit.
You cannot take resources from a throne without acknowledging the spirit behind that throne. When political power finances a pulpit without purity, strange altars are erected silently in the sanctuary.
This is not about governance. This is about corruption of consecration.
Below are 20 SPIRITUAL SIGNS that a church has become a political campaign ground:
1. The Name of God Is Mentioned Less Than the Name of a Candidate
When sermons subtly endorse personalities more than Christ, the altar is compromised.
2. The Pulpit Becomes Selectively Bold
Sin in the government is ignored when the government is the donor.
3. Prophecy Is Replaced With Political Strategy
Instead of “Thus says the Lord,” it becomes “This is our preferred candidate.”
4. Repentance Disappears
You cannot preach repentance while hosting corruption.
5. Money Determines Access
Politicians are given front seats; broken souls wait at the gate.
6. Election Seasons Bring Sudden Church Renovations
The source of sudden wealth is never questioned.
7. The Spirit of Fear Enters Leadership
Leaders become afraid to offend donors.
8. Truth Is Filtered
Messages are adjusted to protect alliances.
9. Prayer Meetings Turn Into Endorsement Rallies
Intercession becomes propaganda.
10. The Cross Is Used as a Campaign Symbol
Christ is invoked to legitimize ambition.
11. The Church Stops Confronting National Injustice
Because it has become beneficiary of the same system.
12. The Glory of God Feels Absent
You sense activity, but not presence.
13. Strange Confusion Enters the Congregation
Political division replaces spiritual unity.
14. The Poor Are Forgotten
Because influence becomes more valuable than souls.
15. The Altar Loses Its Fire
Noise increases, but conviction disappears.
16. Dreams and Visions of Warning Increase
God begins to signal His displeasure.
17. Financial Scandals Multiply
Where strange altars enter, integrity exits.
18. Worship Feels Mechanical
Because politics suffocates purity.
19. Spiritual Discernment Declines
Leaders can detect demons in members but not in money.
20. The Voice of God Withdraws
Ichabod — the glory has departed.
What Many Leaders Do Not Understand
When you receive unclean money without discernment, you invite the altar behind it.
Politics is not evil. But when political ambition hijacks spiritual authority, the altar becomes polluted.
A microphone is not neutral. A pulpit is not ordinary. An altar is territorial.
Once you dedicate it to power instead of purity, spirits of manipulation, deception, pride, and control gain legal access.
The tragedy? Many think they are being strategic. But spiritually, they are being colonized.
1 Kings 13:33-34
Jeroboam set up unauthorized altars, and it became sin to his house, leading to destruction.
Matthew 21:13
“My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.”
James 4:4
“Friendship with the world is enmity with God.”
A PROPHETIC WARNING
If the Church becomes a campaign ground, heaven will withdraw endorsement.
When altars mix covenant with corruption, judgment begins quietly — first in the spirit, then in the structure.
God is not desperate for political validation. The Kingdom does not need sponsorship from thrones that do not bow.
The Church must decide:
Will we host politicians for influence? Or will we host the Holy Spirit for transformation?
You cannot serve two altars.
PROPHETIC DECREE AND DECLARATION
I decree in the name of Jesus Christ:
Every strange altar erected on the pulpits of this generation — let it catch fire by the judgment of God.
Every demonic covenant tied to political money — be broken now.
Every pastor, bishop, apostle who has unknowingly invited corrupt altars — receive divine conviction and restoration.
Let the fire of holiness return to the sanctuary. Let the microphone carry purity again. Let the pulpit tremble with truth again.
I declare:
The Church shall not be colonized by politics.
The altar shall not be bought.
The glory shall return where repentance is restored.
In this hour, God is cleansing His house.
And only what is holy will remain.
